Haiti and the Dominican Republic:
Two nations sharing the same Hispaniola island.
Two different cultures. Two different languages (French and Spanish).
Haiti is known as the poorest country in the western hemisphere.
The Dominican Republic has hold on its back, for many years, great part of the burden that affects Haiti.
There are 9 millions Haitians. But nearly three of them are living in the Dominican Republic.
They look in their neighbor what they have not found in their own soil.
Pregnant Haitians cross the border to give birth their babies in Dominican Republic’s hospitals.
Many Haitian workers do the job that Dominicans reject.
So as Egypt is a gift of the Nile; Haiti still lives because the Dominican Republic.
Now, with this devastating earthquake, they shall find plenty of jobs to rebuild their nation and hopefully, helper hands from around the world to reconstruct this impoverished nation, submerged in misery and violence.
A tragedy that can bring compensation if their people accepts this as an opportunity to re-start from zero.

All money needed to reconstruct Haiti must be inverted in other cities; not the capital. Let people who have obtained wealth in the actual capital, use their money to reconstruct.
Las naciones deben ponerse de acuerdo de cómo utilizar sabiamente el dinero de ayuda hacia Haiti. Cualquier dinero para la reconstrucción debe ser utilizado para otras áreas deprimidas; nunca para la capital. Que las personas que se han enriquecido a través de sus negocios en la capital haitiana, utilicen su dinero para reconstruir la capital.
Las Naciones Unidas deben reubicar la capital en una zona deprimida, como en la frontera con la República Dominicana. De esa forma se distribuye la riqueza y no se concentra en un sólo lugar. Al mismo tiempo, generará empleos en diferentes zonas del país.
